TOPIC
I chose to create a book of poetry on the theme of the sea and all around it. The book is divided into three parts, a first part which shows typographically sixteen poems by eight poets, various classical and contemporary.Then the second part is a section that includes a short biography of each author and their respective poems. The third part is a vocabulary drawn from a glossary of common terms in maritime vocabulary.

APPROACH
Initially, I was inspired by the book "The hosts of flat" by Rosh Tiberghien, a book with only the printed text in black on dark blue construction paper. I did not know how big my book was going to take it based on an idea like this. For cons, I knew I did not necessarily mean that it is a book with just text, but rather whether a publication easy to read and watch. Then I did some tests and illustrations I had fun to interpret all the poems with my inspiration.

SUJET
J’ai choisi de créer un recueil de poésie sur le thème de la mer et de tout ce qui l’englobe. Le livre est séparé en trois parties, soit un première partie qui illustre typographiquement seize poèmes de huit poètes classiques et contemporains différents. Puis, la deuxième partie est un section incluant une courte biographie de chaque auteur ainsi que leurs poèmes respectifs. Enfin, la troisième partie est un lexique tiré d’un glossaire des termes courants du vocabulaire maritime.

DÉMARCHE
Au départ,je me suis inspiré du livre « Des hosties de plates » de Roch Tiberghien, qui est un livre avec seulement du texte imprimé noir sur papier de construction bleu foncé. Je ne savais pas quelle ampleur mon livre allait prendre en me basant sur une idée comme celle là. Par contre, je savais que je ne voulais pas nécessairement que ce soit un livre avec seulement du texte, mais plutôt que ce soit une publication agréable à lire et à regarder. Puis, j’ai fait quelques tests d’illustrations et je me suis amusée à interpréter tous les poèmes selon mon inspiration.
